From the intersection of M-37 and M-82 (Croton Drive) on the north side of Newaygo, on Croton Drive travel east 1.4 miles to the intersection of Basswood Drive from the north, then turn right into the dirt parking lot, then follow the dirt walking path south 0.5 miles to the river.
Steelhead fishing occurs from late October through June and Chinook salmon during September and October. Brown trout and rainbow trout fishing occurs all year. Fishing occurs by wading from the shoreline. Bait, lodging and food available in nearby Muskegon, Fremont and Newaygo.
