Where to access the Sheboygan River lake run

The run corridor The mouth Millhome Dam — the run stops here
The colour is this river's run stage today, read off WDNR run-timing guidance. Where along the corridor the fish are is not modelled here — only the sixteen rivers the staging estimator covers carry that. Drawn 30 September 2026, north up, and it is a map of the river rather than of the lake it runs from.

The boating access record this site holds is MDNR's and covers Michigan only, so there is no ramp list for the Sheboygan River here rather than a list of the wrong state's. WDNR publishes Wisconsin's. The run is 40.7 miles long and splits into the pier at river mile 0.0–3.2, the lower at river mile 3.2–8.8 and the upstream at river mile 8.8–40.7; the pier and the mouth are boat and breakwall water and the miles above them are waded. The upstream end is Millhome Dam, which is where the fish stop and where the water above holds resident trout instead.

Access sites

The boating access record this site holds is MDNR's and covers Michigan only. There is no ramp list here rather than a list of the wrong state's ramps — WDNR publishes Wisconsin's, and the public land layer on the live map is the better answer for water fished from the bank.

Wade-in or boat, by zone

Zones are the corridor file's, cut on river mile. This site holds no wadeability survey, so the note beside each zone is what the zone is and not a promise about any particular bank.

The upstream end

Millhome Dam, at 43.8944, -87.9630. Above it the water holds resident trout rather than run fish, so it is the top of the fishery as well as the top of the corridor.
