From Grayling, go east on North Down River road and travel 8.2 miles to Spite Avenue. Turn right (south) and go half a mile to the intersection of Spite Avenue and Twin Pine Road. The parking area is just past that intersection. There is a stairway that leads to the river south from the parking area.
The water is about waist deep and the current is moderate.
