Heading east on M-72 from Grayling, turn right (south) onto South Branch Road. Continue on South Branch Road past Canoe Harbor Campground for a total of about 2.2 miles to the parking area on the left side of the road.
Cobble, gravel and sand bottom are all present here. The Mason Tract Pathway parallels the river in this area and provides multiple access points. The parking lot offers room for two to three vehicles and this site is in the Mason Tract of State forest land.
