From Chase Bridge, go .2 miles north on Chase Bridge Road and turn right. Continue on this road 2.5 miles and turn right. The parking area is .1 miles from the turn. There is a .15 mile path that leads down a steep slope to the river. From the parking area, a trail leads southward through a picnic area to a large dock. This dock provides both handicap access and access for canoeists.
Cobble, gravel and sand substrate are all present here. This river reach is generally lower gradient than downstream areas. From turnaround parking log, anglers must walk about 300 yards to the river through a well marked path. A historic house (castle) was once located on this site. This is in the Mason Tract of State forest land.
