Head east on M-72 from Grayling and turn right (south) on South Branch Road. Continue on South Branch Road passing by Canoe Harbor Campground for a total of 4.1 miles. Bear left at the fork in the road and continue on the two-track for about a half a mile. Turn left onto the road that markes the west entrance to Durant's Castle and follow this for another .1 miles. Turn left at the sign marking the Mason Tract and continue just under a mile to the parking area.
This site has cobble, gravel and sand substrate. The parking lot offers room for multiple vehicles but it is sandy at times and narrow. This is a very scenic area that offers the angler a more remote feel. It is located in the Mason Tract of State forest land.
